We use professional low-pressure softwashing equipment and industry-approved cleaning solutions to remove dirt, algae, mould, lichen, and organic growths from your home’s exterior — leaving every surface clean, fresh, and restored without the harsh force of power washing
Softwashing is a specialist cleaning method that uses low pressure combined with biodegradable cleaning agents to break down organic growth and surface contaminants. Unlike power washing, which can damage surfaces or force water into unwanted areas, softwashing cleans at a gentle flow that is safe for all exterior materials.
It is particularly effective on:
Softwashing doesn’t just clean — it restores surfaces and keeps them cleaner for much longer.
Softwashing is a low-pressure cleaning method that uses specialist cleaning solutions to safely remove algae, mould, lichen, and dirt from exterior surfaces. Unlike power washing, it cleans gently without blasting or damaging render, roofs, or painted surfaces. It’s designed to treat organic growth at the root, leaving the surface cleaner for much longer.
Yes — softwashing is specifically designed for surfaces like K-Rend, Weber, monocouche, and other coloured renders. High-pressure cleaning can crack render or strip colour, but softwashing cleans without force, protecting the finish while restoring the original colour.
Most homeowners enjoy clean results for 12–36 months, depending on the surface and environment. South-facing walls, shaded areas, or places with heavy moss may need more frequent maintenance. A biocide treatment can significantly extend the lifespan of the clean.
We take great care to protect your garden areas. Plants, shrubs, and grass are pre-rinsed and covered where necessary, and thoroughly rinsed again after treatment. When applied properly, softwash solutions are safe and do not cause long-term harm to surrounding vegetation.
Most organic staining — algae, mould, green growth — clears very quickly. However, some deep-rooted biological stains may continue to lighten over several days or weeks as the treatment keeps working. This delayed brightening is normal and is a sign of a proper softwash application.
We follow a thorough, methodical approach to deliver safe and exceptional results.
1. Inspection & Preparation
We assess the surface, identify growths, and select the correct cleaning solution for your material type. Nearby plants, windows, and fixtures are protected before treatment begins.
2. Application of Softwash Solution
Using low-pressure equipment, we apply a specially formulated softwash solution that breaks down mould, algae, lichen, and bacteria. It works gently but deeply, restoring brightness without scrubbing or high force.
3. Rinse & Neutralisation
After the solution has worked, we gently rinse the area using clean water. This removes all traces of contamination while keeping surfaces intact.
4. Biocide Treatment (Optional but Recommended)
For long-lasting results, we can apply a biocide treatment that prevents regrowth for 12–36 months, depending on the surface. This keeps render, roofs, and exterior surfaces cleaner for far longer than traditional washing.
Whether your walls are green, your roof is covered in moss, or your home simply needs a refresh, softwashing is the safest and most effective solution.
